The Lakeside Lodge, Windmere
Lakeside Lodge is a single house, let to one party at a time. The building, the grounds and every facility within them belong to your group alone for the length of the stay, and are never shared with anyone else. It is a Grade II listed Victorian mansion, restored to an exceptional standard and set in its own private grounds on the shore of Lake Windermere.
The house runs across four floors. On the ground floor you’ll find the entrance hall, the drawing room, the bar, a dining room large enough to seat the whole group at a single table, a fully equipped kitchen, and a studio given over to workshops, sessions and creative work. The lower ground floor adds further guest and service space.
Sixteen guest bedrooms sit across the ground, first and second floors. Every one is ensuite, every one has a king-size bed, and a number can be made up as twins to suit how your group travels. Soaring ceilings and original period detail run throughout, while tall windows and open lawns frame the water and the fells beyond. A view that changes with every hour of the day.
Outside, two hot tubs, lawns, terraces and private grounds give the group room to spread out, and Bowness is a five-minute walk away. Catering is handled by our own chefs, with daily housekeeping and an on-site host team in place for the duration of the stay. Two self-contained apartments sit privately within the building; these are kept for our own staff and for visiting instructors, and form no part of the guest accommodation.

Concierge Services
Every stay at Lakeside Lodge is catered by our own chefs, so meals are handled from the moment you arrive. The kitchen is staffed for the duration of the stay, and the rhythm of the day is built around your table rather than a fixed service window. Menus are shaped in advance around your group; a long dinner with everyone seated together at the single table, relaxed family-style service, or lighter retreat cooking between sessions. Breakfast can be kept light before movement, with something more substantial once the day’s work is done. Dietary requirements are taken at the planning stage and carried through every service, so no one at the table is eating a lesser version of the meal.
The studio is available throughout and is the room most groups build their days around. It’s a dedicated space, not a cleared lounge, with room to lay out mats for the full party and the freedom to run a sunrise practice or a late evening wind-down without anyone else in the building. Because the house is yours alone, the studio never needs booking and never runs to someone else’s timetable. Bring your own yoga teacher, or we can arrange instruction for you. Sessions can be built into the stay from the outset or added as the days take shape.
Daily housekeeping runs quietly in the background, and an on-site host team is there for the duration of the stay to keep everything moving without anyone having to ask. Rooms are turned down and the studio is reset between sessions while your group is out on the lawns, in the hot tubs, or walking the five minutes into Bowness.

(For seamless arrangements, kindly note that subject to availability, up to 4 weeks prior notice is required for organising.)
